Angela is a senior marketing and communications specialist with over 23 years’ experience in institutional and retail funds management. She specialises in brand strategy, communications, digital content and strategic partnerships.
Since joining Channel Capital in 2018, Angela has led the marketing function, developing initiatives that support partner growth and strengthen the firm’s brand and market positioning.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and certifications in Social Media Marketing and Digital Strategy from the University of Sydney.
Byron is an investment management executive with more than 17 years of experience across funds management, distribution, governance, and business growth. Throughout his career he has worked with leading Australian and global asset managers, building experience across strategy, capital formation, operational oversight, and stakeholder management.
As Co-Head of Distribution at Channel Capital, Byron has played a key role in the growth of the firm’s affiliate and partner manager network. Working across public and private markets, he has helped launch, scale, and commercialise investment strategies spanning equities, fixed income, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and alternative investments. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to over $12 billion of capital raising across the Australian wealth market and has been involved in sourcing and developing strategic partnerships with several leading global investment managers.
Prior to joining Channel Capital in 2018, Byron held a range of roles at Janus Henderson Investors across distribution, client engagement and risk management and began his career in financial services audit at KPMG.
Byron holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of Sydney, is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Applied Finance.
Glen has been the Managing Director of Channel Capital since its inception in 2013.
Before co-founding Channel, he gained extensive experience across various investment management firms, including Bank of Bermuda, Credit Suisse, Pinnacle, and Solaris, in multiple jurisdictions. In addition to his role at Channel, Glen serves as a Director of our Responsible Entity, Channel Investment Management Limited, and sits on the boards of several affiliated entities.
Glen holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA, and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.
Greg joined Channel Capital in 2020 and oversees the firm’s legal and regulatory function, providing commercially focused, risk-based advice to support the business. He also serves as Company Secretary for Channel Capital and its associated entities.
Greg is an experienced financial services legal professional, recognised in the funds management industry for his in-depth knowledge and commercial acumen. Greg’s breadth of knowledge is derived from his past work experience, including Perpetual Limited as an in-house legal adviser for more than seven years, as well as an external lawyer for reputable law firms such as Norton Rose and King & Wood Mallesons.
Greg is regularly involved in industry and Treasury discussions on regulatory reforms impacting the Australian financial services industry, and has been a member of the Australian Regulatory Committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Australia for more than five years. He was also a finalist for the Corporate Counsel Awards in 2020 and 2021 in the category of “Financial Services Lawyer of the Year”.
Joanne is responsible for overseeing People and Culture, with a focus on building positive work environments across all teams and managing all personnel-related matters.
Joanne has been with Channel Capital since its inception in 2013, initially contributing through various finance and business administration roles and engaging extensively with staff. Prior to her current position, Joanne spent five years in office management at Solaris Investment Management and previously supported the investment management team at Suncorp Investment Management.
Josh has over two decades of experience in investment operations. At Channel Capital, he leads client partnerships and relationship management across the Responsible Entity business, and oversees the Investment Operations, Product and Client Services teams supporting our funds and partners. He works closely with investment managers on fund structuring and execution, including Australian unit trusts and related vehicles.
Before joining Channel Capital in 2013, Josh was Head of Investment Operations at Solaris Investment Management. He previously spent eight years at White Outsourcing managing outsourced services for boutique fund managers.
Katherine is a legally trained, financial services professional with extensive knowledge and experience in the funds management industry. For more than three decades, Katherine has forged a strong track record in building and positioning investment management businesses for growth, maintaining accountability and developing quality client relationships. She was the former Head of Marketing and Client Services for Suncorp Investment Management Limited from 2004-2008, after which she occupied a similar role with Solaris Investment Management Limited from 2008 until co-founding Channel Capital in 2013.
As a founding director of Channel Capital, Katherine now leads our London office. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Bond University and is a member of the Institute of Directors, United Kingdom.
Luke is an investment management executive with more than 20 years of experience across funds management, governance, risk and business growth. Throughout his career he has worked with leading Australian and global asset managers, building experience across distribution, strategy, investment manager research, product development, operational oversight and stakeholder management.
Before joining Channel Capital in 2017, he served as Regional Sales Manager at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he managed relationships with wholesale clients and intermediaries across Victoria and Tasmania. Prior to this, Luke was a Model Portfolio Manager at AMP, overseeing the construction, management, and delivery of managed fund model portfolios for AMP's large network of financial advisers.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Economics and a Master of Applied Finance.
Mathew leads the strategic direction, management and delivery of technology infrastructure and core business systems, ensuring they effectively support the firm’s growth and operational needs.
With over 25 years’ experience spanning both business and technology, he is recognised for delivering meaningful business outcomes through innovative and scalable technology solutions. Prior to joining Channel Capital in 2017, Mathew held senior leadership roles including IT Manager, Director of ICT and Chief Information Officer across a range of industries, including FMCG, mining and healthcare.
Mathew holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) and an MBA from the University of Queensland, and is a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Matt has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with deep expertise across portfolio construction, investment manager research, and product development.
Prior to joining Channel, Matt was a Principal Consultant at Australia’s largest Asset Consultant, JANA, where he led or co-led JANA’s consulting and research activities to some of the firm’s largest institutional clients. During his tenure at JANA, Matt held a number of senior leadership positions, including Deputy Chair of JANA’s Investment Committee, member of the Platform Investment Committee, and made an active contribution across a range of research committees including Portfolio Design, Capital Markets, Post Retirement and Regulatory policy. Matt was also formerly a member of JANA’s Senior Leadership Team and formerly served as Head of Portfolio Construction and Risk, where he played a key role in shaping JANA’s investment frameworks and governance processes.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business, Master of Professional Accounting. He has successfully completed the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), and Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) programs.
Michael joined Channel Capital in 2019 and is responsible for leading the firm’s financial strategy, governance and business administration across the group and its associated partners.
Michael is an accomplished finance executive with more than 25 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant, bringing deep expertise across financial services, particularly within the wealth and asset management sectors. He spent 12 years with Westpac Banking Corporation and BT Financial Group (BTFG), where he held senior finance roles across funds management, insurance and banking. Most recently at BTFG, Michael served as Head of Finance for the Platforms, Investments and Superannuation divisions. He has a strong track record in financial control, reporting and strategic leadership, with extensive experience building and leading high-performing, diverse teams. Earlier in his career, Michael was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of South Australia and is an Associate member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Rebecca joined Channel Capital in 2018 and leads the firm’s Compliance, Risk and Governance functions. Over the past eight years, she has been instrumental in designing and implementing the frameworks that underpin Channel Capital’s compliance, risk and governance capabilities, supporting the firm’s continued growth and operational excellence. She is particularly experienced in building scalable governance frameworks and navigating regulatory change within complex investment environments.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Rebecca works closely with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer on strategic initiatives, including new partner onboarding, product development and the governance and oversight of funds throughout their lifecycle.
Rebecca has more than 24 years’ experience across funds management and financial advice, with expertise spanning compliance, governance, operations and business transformation. Prior to joining Channel Capital, she held several senior roles in financial services, including a 10-year tenure with Cromwell Property Group.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Business Management, a Master of Financial Planning, and is a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) through the GRC Institute.
Channel Investment Management Limited (CIML), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Channel Capital, holds AFSL 439007 and acts as the responsible entity for our managed investment schemes. The board, comprised of a majority of independent directors, brings a wealth of diverse and experienced perspectives to their roles.
Sandra is a non-executive, independent Director and Chair of the Board of our Responsible Entity, Channel Investment Management Limited. Sandra has extensive experience in financial services, with a particular focus on risk management, compliance and corporate governance. Her career includes 24 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was formerly a global lead for governance, risk and compliance, as well as previously serving as an independent member of the audit committee of the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Sandra serves on the boards of a number of ASX listed entities and chairs several audit and risk committees. Her current board memberships include: Auswide Bank Limited, Adore Beauty Limited, Horizon Oil Limited, 7-Eleven Holdings Limited and Tasmanian Finance Corporation.
Sandra is a qualified chartered accountant, a member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Bede is a non-executive, independent Director of our Responsible Entity, Channel Investment Management Limited (CIML). He was the former Chair of the CIML Compliance Committee.
He is a practising Solicitor and Managing Partner of Tobin King Lateef, Solicitors and Notaries. Bede has extensive legal expertise in the commercial and property sectors and in managed investments / compliance areas. He is a Director of SIV Capital Limited (formerly Silver Chef Limited) and a Director of Firstmac Limited.
Bede is an Associate Member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Karen is a non-executive, independent Director of our Responsible Entity, Channel Investment Management Limited.
As a highly experienced non-executive director and Chair, Karen has extensive experience in providing leadership in the development of strong corporate governance, risk management, compliance and strategic thinking for significant organisations in both public and private sectors.
She has extensive experience across sectors such as tertiary, health and financial services as a non-executive director and compliance committee chair. Karen’s current appointments include Pro Chancellor of Griffith University, Deputy Chair of Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, Non-Executive Director on financial services boards and ARC Chair for multiple entities.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Administration.
