Channel Capital expands its team with the appointment of in-house General Counsel

Channel Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Wong to the role of General Counsel.  Based in its Sydney office, Greg will be responsible for the oversight of legal and regulatory matters across the Channel group, supporting the strategic direction of the business within the legal framework and providing viable and risk-based solutions.

Greg is an experienced financial services legal professional with a long-standing career in funds management. Prior to joining Channel Capital, he spent more than seven years with Perpetual Limited as in-house legal counsel and has held roles as an external lawyer for reputable law firms such as Norton Rose and King & Wood Mallesons.  

Greg is regularly involved in industry and Treasury discussions on regulatory reforms impacting the Australian financial services industry and has been a member of the Regulatory Committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) Australia for more than five years.  He is also a finalist for the Corporate Counsel Awards 2020 in the category of ‘Financial Services Lawyer of the Year’.
