Channel Capital ("Channel"), a leading partner to global investment managers, today announced a strategic partnership with Coller EQT, the secondaries investment business formed through the combination of Coller Capital and EQT in 2026, the global private markets firm EQT AB, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm (EQT).
The partnership will expand access to specialist private equity and private credit secondaries strategies for Australian wholesale investors, supporting growing demand for sophisticated private markets solutions.
Under the arrangement, Channel will provide distribution, marketing and investor servicing support for the Coller Private Equity Secondaries Fund and Coller Private Credit Secondaries Fund.
The Coller Private Equity Secondaries Fund seeks to provide diversified exposure to private equity assets through the acquisition of interests in existing private equity funds and portfolios. The Coller Private Credit Secondaries Fund invests in private credit portfolios and transactions, providing access to seasoned credit exposures and the potential for income and diversification.
With global secondaries transaction volumes reaching a record US$226 billion in 2025^, the asset class is playing an increasingly important role in helping investors manage diversification, liquidity profiles and provide access to mature underlying assets.
With a 36-year track record in secondaries investing, Coller EQT is one of the world's largest dedicated secondaries managers, overseeing approximately US$55 billion across private equity, private credit and other private market strategies globally (as at 31 March 2026).
Luke Mandekic, Co-Head of Distribution at Channel Capital, said: "Private markets are becoming a more important part of diversified portfolios, and we're seeing the conversation evolve beyond simply gaining access to the asset class. Many of the advisers we work with are adopting a more sophisticated approach to private markets, combining complementary strategies to build more diversified portfolios for clients.
"Coller EQT brings one of the most established secondaries platforms globally, with deep expertise across both private equity and private credit. These strategies offer access to mature private market exposures that can complement traditional allocations and support more deliberate portfolio construction."
Sueann Yeo, Head of Global Wealth Solutions APAC at EQT, said, "Globally, we're witnessing growing recognition of the role secondaries can play alongside traditional private market investments. Channel's strong position in the Australian market makes it a valued partner to help bring greater awareness and support education, access and long-term adoption of secondaries strategies."
"One of the most significant shifts we are seeing is the growing alignment between institutional and wealth portfolios,” added David Hallifax, Director, Global Wealth Solutions APAC at EQT.
“Advisers are increasingly seeking the same diversification benefits that have made secondaries a valuable tool for institutional investors, providing exposure across assets, vintages, sectors and geographies. As private markets allocations increase, we expect interest in secondaries to grow alongside them."
The partnership reflects both firms' shared commitment to helping investors access a broader range of private market solutions as the industry continues to evolve.
